Answer:	Said in the instructions included to charge 4 hours before first use. It appeared to be usable after 2 hours or so; however, I was only able to use it once (heavy use) before needing to charge it again. The second time it took longer to charge (3-4 hours), but it seems to be working fine - have only used it for spot cleaning since the first time. There is a light just above the connection port for the charger that will start red then go green when it is charged and ready for use.
