2. Release a small amount of foam and scrub the stain with the built-in brush. Thoroughly soak the stain to twice the size of the stained area, because the stain may have spread on the backing of your carpet.

3. If necessary, allow the formula one to two hours to work. Repeat as needed until the stain is gone.

4. Blot the area with a wet rag to rinse the treated area.

5. For vomit and feces stains, use paper towels to remove as much of the mess as possible without rubbing the stain in. Work from the outside in to minimize spreading the stain.

Answer:	You could, but it would be quite a chore. This is a spot cleaner not intended for cleaning the carpet in an entire room. For that large of an area you would want an upright rug cleaner. Even a light duty upright would be better for such an area than this Hoover Spotless.

Answer:	It works great. I fill a sprayer with boiling hot water, use a carpet detergent to loosen the stain, and the spot scrubber to lift it from the item so stained. The sprayer is used just ahead of the spot scrubber vacuum tool and all of the gunk goes into the easily dumpable tank. I put distilled water in the wash tank and finish with that so no dissolved mineral residue remains (which sometimes makes a ring when the cleaned item drys). Works great and easy to clean (use a little of the boiling water followed with a distilled water flush).

How do I use Resolve Multi-Fabric Cleaner & Upholstery Stain Remover?

The access panel can be taken off by lifting the four tabs on the bottom of your machine. Clearing clogs detach the Upper Hose from the machine. Insert a broomstick into the hose to push any obstruction through. Remove the screw from the left side of the lower hose on the back of the unit. Straighten this section of hose by pulling it down or laying the unit on its side with the lower hose towards the top side. Look through the hose for any obstruction. Use a broomstick to unclog the hose. Power source - corded. Power rating: 3 amps.

Answer:	The brush head detaches from the hose. I clean it by running extremely hot water through it. You could even soak it in a warm water bath if needed. If there is a hair stuck inside the plastic portion, you can use an unbent page clip to dig it out.

Answer:	Sorry to tell you this - I've had my first machine for yr and it worked fine until it would no longer spray- since it was old I thought some part must have worn out - and since it had given me many yrs of great service - I just went out and bought another one - I have had this new one for just about a yr and now the same problem is happening to this one - I've given up and use a spray bottle to apply solution and the machine to pick up the residue - I'll have to be in touch with the company - but this does seem like it could be a chronic problem.

Answer:	I have been using this the last 3 years on my cushions on my deck furniture. They are white and still look like new after owning them for 6 years! I used the regular scotchgard until I discovered this heavy duty version. Here is my procedure, at the end of the season I remove covers and wash them in the washing machine and dry in dryer. I store them for the winter. In the spring, I get them out and insert the pillow and cushions in the covers and spray vertically and horizontally on both side. I let them dry then spray them again. My dog has even peed on the cushions and it rolls off with no residue. Great stuff! I purchased my deck furniture with cushions at World Market. Not sure if they are olefin.

I followed directions and now have a ring and the stains. The product was recommended for this fabric. What happened

Answer:

Mohawk was recommended to me by a furniture delivery man. But he gave me some tips for cleaning when I got it. First, wet a cloth and blot the area and surrounding surface so it’s damp. Next, spray the cleaner lightly on the stain and let it sit for a couple minutes. Then using the damp end of the cloth, lightly rub. Repeat if needed. Once you’re finished, re-wet the cloth end (make sure to squeeze out as much chemical as you can) and blot it around the area and include the area outside the cleaned area again. Then, to help prevent the ring, take the dry end of the cloth and blot heavily over the entire area to soak up as much moisture as possible. I’ve had pretty good luck with the process, though it’s a little time consuming. Hope this helped!
