This product is designed to encapsulate seams and fastener heads on metal roofs (and other types) with minimal sag. Additionally, it can be used to seal gutters and penetrations. Product is typically poured or extruded on to the roof and then brushed into place. A consistent sealant thickness minimum of 50 mils is required. Do not apply if air temp is below 42 degrees F or if substrate temp is above 120 degrees F.

Steps:

1. Remove old, flaky caulking. Can coat over well adhered non-silicone caulking.
2. Ensure a clean, dry, and dust-free surface before application: power washing and biodegradable cleaner. A clean surface is the most important part of the prep. Acetone is a good final cleaner to wipe the roof down with before starting your application.
3. Repair vents, laps, joints with RV Flex Repair Caulking Lap Sealant (Self-Leveling) and/or RV Flex Repair Tape.
4. Paint a heavy coat around edges, vents, skylights.... where a roller cannot access.
5. Apply Sealant to the entire roof in a heavy coat as soon as possible. Generally within 2 -4 hours.
6. When you can work on the first coat, repeat steps 4 and 5 perpendiculars within 24 - 48 hours to achieve your final coverage.
