Answer:	This one is charcoal grey and tb101 is flat black

Answer:	Follow these steps and it will last longer. Lets say you got polish on the plastic or rubber or lets say it is several years old and faded. First wash area with automotive wash product, then dry in sun. Next purchase a grease and wax remover (Dupli-color brand CM543 is a good brand) clean area good and allow to dry. Take a clean cloth that does not leave lent and wipe off area. Tape off (automotive paint grade) and cover up large area not to be painted (spray paint will float with or without breeze) . Apply several lite coats instead of one heavy coat allowing each to dry each time. Once color is uniformed then remove tape and other materials covering the rest of vehicle. Once paint has dried let set in sun for several hours and do not wash vehicle for a few days. It will work

Answer:	This is a flat black paint. Specifically used for side steps, door handles, and bumpers. Anything that was flat black before, will look really good afterward. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I used one can for a bumper and 2 side steps on my truck, with paint to spare. This is definitely a paint, as you want to tape off any area that you do not want to be black. It has restorative qualities to it and definitely makes a noticeable difference

Answer:	Yes. Clean with any all purpose cleaner and let dry. Then wipe panels down with isopropyl alcohol or wax & grease remover and let dry. Then spray several light coats of SEM letting it dry between coats until you get the coverage you want. SEM bumper coater usually sticks very well to vinyl and hard plastic without the need of any primer. It dries faster and preforms better than any rattle can paint I have ever used.

Answer:	It would work on the console.....BUT...test it out on the decals first. Two issues. One it might cause decals to peel because it will dissolve glues. Two depending on decals it might make the colors run. I would test on area your don't care about first. If it works I would spray super light coats to get a perfect look.

Answer:	Use a spray plastic adhesive first, then spray a coat of paint. This paint includes a mix of adhesive and paint. That's probably why you are getting a sticky finish.

Question:	Can this paint be used on metal trim with out primer
Answer:	It is for plastic trim. If you want to use it on metal I would use primer so it sticks well. It will be a little thick after a few coats.

Answer:	I used the SEM Plastic and Vinyl prep with no primer and it adhered with no problem on exterior lower plastic panels on a Jeep Cherokee
Question:	The spray comes out somewhat spotty/blotchy, is there a correct way to clean it or is it supposed to come out like this
Answer:	Well it souldn't be splotchy; if the can is going to sit unused for over 20 minutes, invert the can and spray onto scrap until cleared of spray. If the nozzle is somewhat clogged, clean it up with acetone and a very find pin. Fine abrasive, paper or steel wool should clean up the already sprayed. I don't know if acetone or some other solvent can be used after the paint has set up. Very clean surface is needed: no oil, grease, or hand prints. Oh yes, shake the can for at minimum 1 1/2 minutes before using. That marble in the bottom of can really need to sound sharp when it hits the bottom of the can. Also, best use it at room temperature. If cold, test it first on a piece of scrap. Read the directions about how far the can should be from the surface. And read about the time between sprays. I've used SEM 39143 for my old toy cars for years. Guess they can put out a bad can, so test spray scrap. Good luck.

Answer:	I dont see any heat tolerance range on this can. VHT is just the brand name on this one. The can says its made for metal, plastic, and fiberglass, so I would guess the max temp would be whatever a black plastic bumper would be sitting in the sun. I didn't like this paint. I first used it on a small plastic part of my motorcycle and it didn't spray well. it sprayed in a cone shape instead of a fan. And it wasnt a fine mist. It sprayed globs of paint that clumped up on the part. I stopped using this and bought duplicolor. It sprays in a nice fine mist fan pattern.

Answer:	If u are looking to restore black trim there is nothing better than solution finish... as a dressing or semi permanent restoration, this is fine.... For just enhancement, vrp is fine

Answer:	Worth is in the eyes of the beholder. I am kinda picky when it comes to appearance and this stuff satisfied my expectations. The interior panels look as good as new.
Question:	Will this work on our 2010 original dodge charger pillars. It will save a lil money if it will restore the black in them
Answer:	I used it on the plastic edging and grill on my 2002 Audi TT (was white and powdery from age/sun exposure) and it went basically back to looking new. If you are using it on a big surface (ie not just edges), I'd recommend being very generous in your application and maybe get 2 bottles. Also, wash and dry the surface before you apply the stuff. If the pillars are plastic/vinyl and not polished and have that white powdery look from age, it will probably work. It doesn't work like paint though, so if you have peeling paint or something, this won't bring back that color. It's more for aged plastic/vinyl parts.

Answer:	The back label states that it covers 12-14 square feet. Hope this helps.
Question:	After applying this to bare plastic, do I need a primer before the base coat? Or can I just apply the base color coat to this
Answer:	What this stuff does is essentially chemically break down the surface of the plastic so that when you paint, which you must do immediately, the color binds with the dissolved plastic and as the adhesion promoter dries/evaporates you are left with a surface where the plastic material and the foreign material (paint) is dissolved together. This allows the next coat to bind with the first coat and the third coat to bind with the second and so on. Don't wait for this stuff to dry. Follow the directions on the can carefully. If you let it dry then the plastic has already re-formed and your first coat is not going to bind.

Answer:	I use it on my dash and trim in my truck. I like it, but it can be slick on the steering wheel. Works and looks better than other interior trim in my opinion. The shine last longer

Answer:	When it rains, the black plastic on my 2005 element gets white streaks and lightens to almost grey. This stuff brings it black again. In full sun, it does require monthly application. For $10 a bottle, it's an easy fix to make the car look new again.

Answer:	No. It's applied every other car-wash when I use it, some people can get one month between applications. Permanent restoration for plastic most times involves either clear coating it or new parts. Honestly the cheapest way to detail the plastic external parts of a vehicle without breaking the bank.
