3 best ceramic spray
Ceramic spray is a type of automotive detailing product that is used for protecting and enhancing the appearance of a vehicle's exterior surfaces. It is often categorized under car care and falls within the realm of waxes, car polishes, and exterior care. Here's what you need to know about ceramic spray:
Ceramic Coating: Ceramic spray is formulated with ceramic nanoparticles, which create a protective layer when applied to a vehicle's paint, glass, or other exterior surfaces. This ceramic coating is known for its durability and longevity compared to traditional waxes and sealants.
Protection: The primary purpose of ceramic spray is to provide a strong and long-lasting protective barrier against various environmental contaminants and damage factors. It helps shield the car's finish from UV rays, acid rain, bird droppings, tree sap, road salts, and minor scratches.
Hydrophobic Properties: Ceramic sprays exhibit hydrophobic properties, which means they repel water and liquids effectively. This property causes water to bead and roll off the surface, making it easier to clean the vehicle and reducing water spots.
Enhanced Gloss: Using ceramic spray can enhance the gloss and shine of your car's paint. It gives the finish a deep, glossy, and reflective appearance that can make the vehicle look brand new.
Easy Application: Ceramic spray is relatively easy to apply compared to traditional ceramic coatings, which often require professional application. Most ceramic sprays come in spray bottles, making them convenient for DIY enthusiasts.
Longevity: While not as long-lasting as professional-grade ceramic coatings, ceramic sprays still provide extended protection, typically lasting several months to a year, depending on the product and driving conditions.
Maintenance: Maintaining a ceramic spray-coated car involves regular washing and drying to preserve its protective properties. Some ceramic spray products also offer maintenance sprays or boosters to extend the coating's life.
Versatility: Ceramic sprays are not limited to paint protection. They can be used on various exterior surfaces, including glass, plastic trim, wheels, and even headlights, providing a versatile solution for overall vehicle protection.
UV Resistance: Ceramic sprays offer UV resistance, which helps prevent paint fading and oxidation caused by prolonged exposure to sunlight.
Cost: While ceramic sprays are more affordable than professional ceramic coatings, they are generally more expensive than traditional wax or sealant products due to their advanced protective properties.
In summary, ceramic spray is a popular choice for car enthusiasts and detailers looking to protect and enhance the appearance of their vehicles. It offers long-lasting protection, water-repellent properties, and a glossy finish, making it a valuable addition to car care routines for those seeking an extra layer of defense against environmental elements and maintaining a pristine vehicle exterior.

User questions & answers
Question: | Has turtle wax addressed the leaking container issue |
Answer: | I purchased the Mothers product as a follow-on or maintenance product to keep my headlight lenses clear after using the brilliant 3M kit that uses the drill, foam pad and sand paper. While Mothers suggests this "clarifies, protects, and maintains", my interest is really only in the later 2 aspects of protect and maintain. The 3M kit worked so well for clarifying the lens, that I wouldn't consider switching should the need arise again. What convinced me to at least try this product was the inclusion of the UV inhibitors. Could be that this is marketing nonsense that I've fallen for; but, thought I'd give it a try. I apply this by hand once a month per instructions. Seems like a very fine polish unlike, say, the polish included in the Turtle Wax kit which you could see and feel cutting plastic even when using it with hand application. If you're looking for a fine maintenance polish then this one seems like a good fit. |
Question: | How similar is the protection to a dedicated full ceramic application |
Answer: | To apply step 3 item worked really nice |
Question: | Can I apply a polymer sealant first and then the ceramic coating |
Answer: | The silver part sticking off of the back of the black Velcro piece fits in the drill. If it's not there, then it's broken. |
Question: | Wet wax vs this product |
Answer: | ubcan buy another kit cheaper at autozone and will come with a differnt one or try get them return it |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it ok for boat |
Answer: | Their sister product, Meguiar's Ultimate Wax, has a 3 - 5 minute dry time. I think no more than 10-20 minutes is required or desirable, unless the label says otherwise. |
Question: | Will this product help remove water spots |
Answer: | There is an applicator inside the can's lid, but I didn't get a microfiber towel. I bought and really like these; http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A8MZ7IA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s01 |
Question: | Does this work good on a black car? Does it streak |
Answer: | Go around and apply it to the entire vehicle in one go. That will give the first panel enough time to cure and you can begin buffing off the now dry, hazy wax. |
Question: | Do you need to wash the car first before you apply shine armor |
Answer: | I use both, the paste works good on all cars and easier to buff out. The liquid takes longer to dry and smears when use too much. If you have a black or dark color car the paste is your best choice. |

Cutting-edge spray on, rinse off wax protection
With advanced Si02 hybrid technology you get hybrid ceramic protection that’s so easy to use, you can actually wax your paint as you rinse off your car. After washing your paint and rinsing off the soap, simply spray on the Hybrid Ceramic Wax and then follow with a second rinse using a strong stream of water. This final rinse helps to spread and lay down the wax for you. Dry your car like you normally would with a premium microfiber drying towel, like Meguiar’s Microfiber Water Magnet Drying Towel. How to prepare the vehicle’s paint before applying a wax
For best results with Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax, start with a freshly washed vehicle. Always use a pH balanced car wash soap like Meguiar’s Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner. Next, run your clean, dry fingertips over the paint. If the paint feels rough to the touch this indicates that you have bonded contaminants on top of your paint. These are things like tree sap mist, industrial fallout, road tar, and paint overspray. Meguiar’s Smooth Surface Clay Kit comes with everything you need to safely remove contaminants bonded on the paint and leave it as smooth as glass. Next, evaluate the paint for below surface defects. If you have light to moderate swirls, scratches, oxidation, water spots, or etchings you would want to use a product like Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound. Then, you would follow with a polish like Meguiar’s Ultimate Polish for maximum gloss and depth of shine before applying your wax protection.
A few tips when applying Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax
- For best results, the car should be cool to the touch and in the shade.
- Wash your car with any Meguiar’s car wash. Follow the directions on the label.
- After rinsing the vehicle thoroughly of all wash soap, spray Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax over all exterior surfaces. Unlike traditional wax, the surface does not require 100% coverage, as the water will help spread the wax for you.
- Starting at the roof, use a strong stream of water to rinse the vehicle a second time. This second rinse will help further spread the product, coating all the exterior with our Hybrid Ceramic protection.
- Dry the vehicle with a quality microfiber drying towel, like Meguiar’s Water Magnet Microfiber Drying Towel.
- For neglected finishes, manually spread Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax with a foam wash sponge after wash sponge, after washing but prior to rinsing. This will form an initial foundation for maximum beading.
