Answer:	I have always gone to a Kitchen or Food supply warehouse. It cost 5 to 10 dollars. You must do some serious Fabric cutting. I have had this brand (in 7") for nearly 40yrs and never had to get them sharpened. I know if you use it to cut paper, it really messes up the blades. Answer:	They are very heavy and stiff - not sure about the denim - depends on how strong you are. I used them for crepe paper but didn't care for them.

Question:	What is the difference in the 2? I want them to help with cutting cotton fabrics since I don’t have a serger
Answer:	I love them because they are not too heavy to work with. I haven't used them on wool or anything heavy like that but I think they would do pretty good. The handles fit my hands nicely. But most of all they cut sharp and clean. It is important to have sharp shears when you are cutting. This may sound bad but my Mother had a pair of shears (not Fiskars) and we spent a lot of time & money having them sharpened. I think that when these shears start getting dull I will replace them with a new pair of Fiskars. Hope this helps. Muriel

Answer:	Yes, I used them on blizzard fleece which is thicker, I cut 100 pieces to make cat cage beds for my shelter. I did oil them as they were a bit stiff. I also had to put band aids on two fingers because of the amount of cutting I did. I was getting a blister.

Question:	How long is the blade
Answer:	I have never heard of Italian Gingher. These are made in America as far as I know, but so manyy companies have gone overseas to save money it's hard to know what is being made where. Where ever these are made I still rate them the best. All my sewing scissors are gingher. I have the seam ripper in my watch box for my next purchase. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Scalloped edge is more decorative. I use mine if I am cutting out felt. Either should work for cotton fabric but I probably would use serrated for finishing edges.

Answer:	Although I was able to cut through 6 layers of fabric, I do not think these scissors are made for heavy leather. They work best cutting through about four layers of cotton fabric. Hope this helps.
