But most of all they cut sharp and clean. It is important to have sharp shears when you are cutting. This may sound bad but my Mother had a pair of shears (not Fiskars) and we spent a lot of time & money having them sharpened. | Answer: | We used this for a poster mounted on foam core. The arms where the poster rests has slots that were just wide enough for the foam core if spread to the side. That helped to keep the poster stationary. If you have something fatter, it can rest on the inside edge of the arms and the weight will probably hold it pretty steady. If you look at the arms close up, you can probably see what I mean. |

You might need to put something sticky on the bottom of it to hold it still on the table that it rests on as people sign it, or weigh it down a little. But that might not be an issue. |

| Answer: | Scalloped edge is more decorative. I use mine if I am cutting out felt. Either should work for cotton fabric but I probably would use serrated for finishing edges. |

| Answer: | Although I was able to cut through 6 layers of fabric, I do not think these scissors are made for heavy leather. They work best cutting through about four layers of cotton fabric. Hope this helps. |
