Answer:	If your machine takes standard sewing machine needles - yes I'm unfamiliar with that Brother Hc1850 machine These needles have the "flat shank edge"

Answer:	It does not state "titanium" on the outer package as shown, however, they come in a plastic ziploc bag with a product sticker that states Titanium Needles and as well, their inner foil wrap is different from other Organ needles. I only use Organ needles, and have sewn with them for over 40 years. I run a business and they are on all my machines, 3 embroidery, 1 sewing machine and 1 8 needle serger. I would only buy these in all sizes. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I bought this for that very purpose and had no trouble laundering the masks in hot water, though I didn't put them in the dryer. After the wash, the masks came out just as they were before laundering. But the masks I created were for friends and family; hospitals may have different requirements. As a filter, the masks feel similar to a dust mask, and are stiffer than those made with fusible interfacing, which is what I initially tried. Hope this helps!

Usage:

1. Topstitch #90/14 or #80/12 needle is recommended for using these Metallic threads. The common 75/11 embroidery-style needle is a tight fit for your metallic thread, as there isn’t a lot of room for the thread to move around, which can result in added friction and thread breaks.

2. Loosening the top tension is necessary.

3. Spools of metallic thread should unwind off the side, not over the end. When unwound over the end, extra twist is placed on the thread which can cause it to Break.

Answer:	It is a regular sewing machine needle--but designed for domestic machines that do embroidery--which means the eye is a little larger than the eye on a standard 80 needle. Flat shank on one side.
