Answer:	I had a very marked up old dark brown table that I used it on. No need to sand or use primer . Did two coats and you would never know it had been in such bad, marked up shape . Came out great

Look at the pictures for Ivory Tower for an example.You would always want to clear wax before dark waxing...You will see these as 4oz color variations to the paint...
Question:	Has anyone used the ultramarine color? Is it close to a navy blue
Answer:	I used Ultramarine on my sofa and love seat...It came out a GORGEOUS NAVY BLUE!! It's not dark blue...it's NAVY BLUE!... but IT IS the one on which you can see the color blue...IS NOT the navy blue that looks so dark that you have to place it under the light to make sure is not black.

Answer:	About 80 to 100 square feet per quart.

Answer:	Absolutely! In fact, on some items I prefer a matte poly. The look is very similar. The only thing you give up is the warm touch of wax. The look is very close though.

Home centers that have tint bases in chalk paint can match a latex paint chip color if you're trying to match & don't want to buy multiple qts of paint to mix your own (Dutch Boy & Rustoleum are two brands of chalk paint that have tint bases in light and dark).

Answer:	A little does go a long way, but you will need to apply two coats. If I wanted to paint a cabinet, I would buy two jars of the paint to be sure I had enough.
Question:	Can I paint faux leather fabric
Answer:	This is a thick liquid...but spreads well...it says it can be applied to unfinished wood...But, I used it over chalk paint, did go on a bit darker than I liked, so next time I will use the minwax antique paste wax, when I want a lighter antique finish. Instructions.. did recommend, if using over chalk paint and want a lighter antique look...use clear wax first. Hope this helps.
Question:	Rust-oleum says to use synthetic brushes or foam. on amazon site for chalked paint brushes they are natural boar. so what should i use
Answer:	If you want a glossy finish use seal polyurethane, but a matte just clear wax, I do use the seal just because it protects from water (I have kids ☺️)

Clean & Prep

Remove any hardware, wash surface with soap and water and let dry. Remove any loose paint or rust and lightly sand glossy surfaces for better adhesion. Primer is not required for most surfaces, but recommended for bare wood or wood high in tannins such as redwood, mahogany and fir.

Brush On

If primer is used, wait 2 hours before applying finish. Stir thoroughly to re-disperse any settled pigment. Use a high quality synthetic brush to apply light even brush strokes. For each coat applied, allow 2 hours before next coat.

Top Coat

Once last coat dries for at least 8 hours, apply topcoat for extra protection. Apply 1-2 light even coats, waiting 2 hours between coats.

Answer:	You can try it, but be aware that that thin surface coating is primarily paper. There is no guarantee that it will not bubble a bit when it is wet with paint. I definitely would not thin the paint with water.

Answer:	I have a dresser I am currently working on, and the sides are a laminate type material. It went over it flawlessly.
Question:	Can this paint be used by itself
Answer:	The white is a base and the color is mixed in before it gets to you. The inside contents should be of the color you requested. Check the label on the lid.
Question:	Can I use oil base primer or water based primer
Answer:	Hello, Yes, this would do great on cabinets. We recommend sealing it with KILZ Clear Sealing Wax (also available on Amazon) to provide added durability.

Answer:	I have used it for both latex and oil based paints and varnishes. It works fine for both. It cleans easily, too. It is the best brush in the world for small or medium sized hands. I won't use any other.
Question:	if i want to write on chalk paint do I need to seal it
Answer:	If the wood is very smooth, yes. Don’t think it would hold up long on super pourous exterior woods. Great for interior finishes.
Question:	What is the difference in the different whites? Which one is a true white
Answer:	I haven't used it for chalk painting, however I am sure that you can use it for any type of paint. I just love this brush. It is agronomical and makes painting a breeze.

Answer:	Yes the chalk paints can be used on the outside of a vase for display purposes only. Because e colors are subjective to each individual you will have to look at the color chart on our website.
Question:	does this paint on paper? i made a marquee letter out of heavy paper and want to paint it
Answer:	You should use a spray clear acrylic sealer over the paper first before painting. Because paper is compressed fibers that swell when exposed to water. The chalk Paints are water based.
