| Answer: | Airbrush fitting sizes are a mess and it seems you need to become an expert on esoteric pipe thread sizes to make all the connections. The Master and Iwata brands tend to have British Standard Pipe Parallel 1/8" threads (BSP P 1/8") so you should be fine on the brush end. The Badger and Pasche brands use their own custom thread sizes so adapter are necessary. If you also have a small airbrush specific compressor by Masters or Iwata then you are likely all set. If it is by these other brands then you may need an adapter. Going to a bigger compress that you can find at Lowes or Home Depot you need to adapt to the National Pipe Thread Tapered (NPT T) thread of about 1/4" which is a mess (see my review). |

| Answer: | most hardware stores will be able to sell you fittings to make the connection. I would take the sprayer and hose to them. they already have compressors on site. I have done it but it is hard to tone down the air pressure, and you also have to consider the water that will be compressed in the air. will come to play at some point in your project. |

| Answer: | "BSP" stands for British Standard Pipe and refers to the how the threads are made for making connections. The Master airbrushes , compressors and hoses are made to BSP standards. So if your are using all Master items they are compatible with each other and connect with nothing else needed. If you are using component items made by different manufacturers which make their threads to American National Standard Pipe Thread ("NPT") then you may need addaptors to make the connections. For example when I want to use my Paasche airbrush and airhose with my Master compressor. I had to purchase (an inexpensive set from Masters) an adaptor to connect my airhose to the compressor (using a 1/8 female--1/4male adaptor), connecting the 1/8 female side to the 1/8 male compressor fitting, and the 1/4 male side of the adaptor to the 1/4 inch Passche hose. There are adaptors for making all different manufactures equipment compatible with each other. You just have to search for them online. The manufactures generally sell adaptors for their equipment. You may want to look for your brand of hose or another brand that uses a standard fitting. (A lot of brands use a 1/8" fitting, but Paasche does not.) |
