You will have less success if you have several layers laid down atop each other or burnished or blended colored pencil marks. The different papers to color will determine if you like them or not. The "toothier" the paper, the better they blend. But printer paper, glossy paper are not the best papers to use with these. I also use Prisma and they don't work that well with glossy paper either. I guess it depends on what you personally like. I'm buying another set because I've used several right down to little nubs. Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | I would not say better, but different. It is difficult to compare the two since they do perform differently. It depends on what you like in a pencil. These are not as soft as a prismacolor, but this means they hold a point better and do not break as easily or wear down as quickly. Prismacolor are too soft and smeary for me in some cases ( depending on the paper I am using) so in those cases, I prefer a harder pencil, such as these. The colors of these pencils are as beautiful as prismacolor and they do have the vibrancy and depth like prismacolor. I would say I like both brands equally well, but I would reach for one over the other depending on the paper I am using. I would definitely recommend you try the Artezas and compare them with Prismacolor and see which "feel" you prefer. For the price, you can't go wrong. |

As a general rule of thumb, I don't recommend ingesting any art supply product. I don't have a good answer regarding the toxicity issue. |

These are absolutely wonderful pencils with thick , highly pigmented cores. They sharpen well and hold a point. I have not experienced any breakage issues . The 120 set is my second purchase from Arteza. I purchased the 72 set and knew I had to have the 120 set. No regrets. |

| Answer: | No; the ends are colored in the same shade as the lead; however, I found these in exact. I ended up giving these pencils to my grandkids and spent the extra money for a set of Prismacolors. I have seen reviews for other, more economical sets on some of the sites for coloring book fans, though. You might want to do a bit of research before you buy. |
