Answer:	It is easy to open/close. It does not require strength. Closing is more like a push-down while holding a button on the side.I use one hand to hold the canister and the other to open the lid. However, you could use your arm to hold the canister if need be.It is a great purchase.
Question:	I purchased these pencils 2 weeks ago and I love them, I have put my prismacolors to the side. My question is there a larger set
Answer:	Yes, very air tight and stinky food smells do not come out at all. I was so amazed as I really thought people were exaggerating. I have used it for dried fish... Yes fish and you know how toxic that is and not a peep of smell comes out the second you put the cap on. When you put the cap on you can hear the seal sucking out the air. Works for years. I open and close mine multiple times a week since 2014 and still works perfectly. I got the pound size. Buying a smaller one today will review how good the seal is on 2016 product when I get it.

Question:	Are these tested fir lightfast
Answer:	No; the ends are colored in the same shade as the lead; however, I found these in exact. I ended up giving these pencils to my grandkids and spent the extra money for a set of Prismacolors. I have seen reviews for other, more economical sets on some of the sites for coloring book fans, though. You might want to do a bit of research before you buy.

Question:	Are these artist grade and lightfast
Answer:	I like these colored pencils. I don't have any problems blending or using them with other pencils. I love that there is a wide range of greens! The different papers to color will determine if you like them or not. The "toothier" the paper, the better they blend. But printer paper, glossy paper are not the best papers to use with these. I also use Prisma and they don't work that well with glossy paper either. I guess it depends on what you personally like. I'm buying another set because I've used several right down to little nubs. Hope this helps.

Question:	is the color name printed on pencil
Answer:	I just recently purchased my second set of these, and the new set has numbers printed on the pencils.
Question:	Are they oil based or wax based? And are they as good quality as prismacolors
Answer:	According to the seller, they are wax based. I found out they are very pigmentated and the colors are as “deep” as the Prismacolor ones, but they are not as soft as the Prismas (which to me is a great thing, I don’t like too soft pencils). I righly recommended the Castle set, the pencils are awesome!
Question:	do these pencils have toxic lead in them
Answer:	I don't really have an answer, this is something better answered by the manufacturer. However being the suspicious type person that I am, I don't put the points in my mouth. I assume you are inquiring for a younger user, or maybe small kids at home. There are many different minerals that are crushed to make pigment as well as some plant products. As a general rule of thumb, I don't recommend ingesting any art supply product. I don't have a good answer regarding the toxicity issue.

Answer:	The paper pad included is 5 inches by 7 inches, it is a 1/4 inch thick. The actual case itself measures about 5 3/4 x 10 3/4 inches. I too wanted to figure out what refills could be used. 5 inches is the max width of the elastic bands inside which keep the pad in place. A 5.5 X 7.75 inch book 1/2 inch thick does not fit in the elastic AND does not fit if you don't use the elastic. It is too wide to shut the case and get it zipped. You could fit something up to about 9 inches long, but you would have to keep the max thickness at or below 1/2 inch otherwise you will not be able to close the case since the pencil sharpener will touch the pad - this is why they provide a 7 inch long pad - that way there is clearance at the top for the pencil sharpener. With the pencil sharpener intact you can place something up to about 3/4 inch thick and still be able to zip the set closed. At 1 inch I could not get the case to zip. This was true for 5x7 and for 4x6. I chose this for refills. Will try to update once I have seen them.
