| Answer: | Yes. The Sketch body style is my favorite (most comfortable barrel to hold). All Copics are refillable, just pull out the nib, refill, and replace the nib. If you accidentally gum up the nib by coloring over gel pen, or some colored pencils, the nibs are replaceable. You do no need to store Copics flat; the ink reactivates itself if the tip dries out due to gravity. Also, these are expensive for markers. They are high quality and I love them, but they are not normal markers. Don't buy them if you don't know what an alcohol marker is, or why you want to use them. If you are just dabbling, there are less expensive options to start with. |

Also, if you put it on too thin, it seems a little more difficult to remove. In my opinion, though, it is probably your paper. |

But I can't blend nearly as much as my water-based pen brushes and markers even with their blending pen, so I have some Copics and many other brands at this point. Like someone said, you need to have 3 different saturations of the "same" color to get the blending just right. You can buy these for much less in Japan, and since I have a friend going in April, I'll send her $100 bill and they are about $3.60 each in Japan! Dick-Blick has come out with their own markers to imitate Copics at a much better price, but I haven't tried them yet. |

| Answer: | Basically copics are WAY more expensive because of the name ( like how Apple or Nike cost allot )but they both are high quality. Copic Original and Spectrum noir are Very similar with chistel tips . Copic sketch has brush tips and spectrum Illustrator have brush tips. They both have refils. The only true advantage copic has over any major marker brand in my oppinion is the larger color selection ( over 300) if that's what you are into. Personally I only get a few copics here and there the price is too high with soo many great competitors for far cheaper. They are overrated if you ask me. Not saying they aren't great though. |

| Answer: | Ive heard you can set them into silk with steam although I wouldn’t really recommend it. They are dye based and so in theory it will work and may stand up to some washing but they wont be very light fast.... theres not going to be much on the market in the way of permanent machine washable markers that will also be light fast If you choose to try them I would say get one open stock from Blicks and do a test square, steam it, and wash it several times to see how it reacts. Maybe do two test squares and dont wash one so you can compare |

| Answer: | Well, what tone of grey do you need?? Cool grey.. warm grey...nuteral grey.... tonal grey?? The greys in copic will always start with the 1st letter of the name of the grey. Ex: cool grey 10% is C1..cool grey 30% is C3 ... cool grey 50% is C5 Warm grey 10% is W1, toner grey 10% is T1 ... and so on. Buy the copic sketch neutral grey 12 piece set, it will have the complete grey range from 0% to 100% ( black ) That is your best and cheapest bet |

| Answer: | No, these ones are not, BUT I used mine for a very long time (four to five years) before I had to replace then. If you want the refillable ones, you're looking for the MultilinerSP series they are quite a bit more expensive, but there are exchangeable nib sizes (not included) available and after all, they ink is refillable. The SP come in sets of four, or a set of ten. You can get exact specs from copicmarker.com on what sets are what. Hope that helps. |
