How to get started with your markers:

1. SHAKE well with the cap securely on and pointed upright.

2. PUMP on scrap paper ONLY, until you see the ink start to flow into the tip, allow it to fill in. Do not over-fill the tip as it will overflow.

3. DRAW on new surfaces, make a small mark first and allow ink to dry before erasing.



How to reverse tips:

1. REMOVE Over a piece of scrap paper, remove pen tip with tweezers or a paper towel.

2. REPLACE Turn tip and insert back into the pen with the tip style desired showing.

3. SET On a piece of scrap paper press tip in and release to ensure tip is fully set.

But... they last a long time and they are smooth, they'd don't leave ink blobs like some pens do and with carpal tunnel and/or arthritis I can say that they are very comfortable to write with. Answer:	Hi Barbara, priming your chalkboard is something most chalkboards require before being used. Because chalkboard surfaces are very porous, you need to prime the surface BEFORE your first use to prevent 'ghosting'. Ghosting is when a faint outline or ghost remains even after erasing the chalk. The best way to prevent this is to make sure to prime your board.. The first chalk to hit your board sinks into the pores. So you want your first chalk to be a consistent one, with even strokes all over the board. Priming is easy. All you need is a piece of chalk. 1. Using a piece of chalk on it's side, rub vertically and horizontally until the entire surface of the chalkboard is covered in chalk. Be sure to just use the side of the chalk. This will give your background an even consistency. The chalk works best once it's flattened and smooth. 2. Take a DRY rag or paper towel and rub the chalk into the board in a circular motion. You're not actually erasing, but rather pushing the chalk layer into the pores even further. 3. Once complete, you can wipe the board with a wet rag to remove any chalk dust and then dry it again. Would they work writing on a mirror

Answer:

Yes, you can draw on the smooth pumpkin skin. I had to let it dry for 5 or 6 minutes, but it created super smooth lines that stood out very well. You would have to spray them with some kind of fixative to put them outside though, because the 'ink' is not waterproof. It's chalk. It wipes off with a wet cloth, which makes it super cool to experiment with different faces for each pumpkin. You can change any part of it you want, then carve the pumpkin. Awesome!

Answer:	Most of the colors are bright and bold. Some are not as bold as others. For example the yellow is not as bright.
Question:	How do you remove these markers from chalk board completely? I used windex and wet cloth, but can still see where I wrote
Answer:	I've used them almost exclusively on a bathroom mirror. Some of the colors don't work as well but I think that could be rectified by letting the ink get to the tip and then making it vertical again. But I love the pens so it's worth it

Answer:	Yes. But you have to “season” your chalkboard. This process goes for any liquid chalk you use. To season your chalk board take a stick of regular chalk and rub the side of the chalk left to right on the board and then up and down. Do that two or three times. Then wipe it down. Answer:	These are approximately 0.25 inches but I believe they make wider ones.
Question:	Does this easily erase from and actual chalkboard
Answer:	The liquid chalk markers work very well on painted chalkboard surfaces. My granddaughter's each have painted chalkboards.
Question:	Has anyone used this on chalkboard paint? Was it hard to erase
Answer:	I would use a Mr. Clean magic eraser

Answer:	These pens work on smooth hard surfaces. Fairly easy removal on chalkboards, whiteboards, and glass. Not sure about acrylic boards. They would probably work ok but would not be able to remove.
