Answer:	The only difference in the two types of interchangeable they have are the length if the actual neddle you hold in your hand one is 4" the other 5". On most airlines you can safely take your knitting project on the 4" neddle tip. Lace tips have a more pointed tip to make lace knitting easier but I always use a lace needle for all my knitting

Answer:	No, I just received my set and it comes with two (2) sets (one small size, one large size) of the following: two 8" cables, one 14" cable, and one 22" cable.
Question:	How smooth is the join when you attach two cables together
Answer:	I've found it to be a very smooth join every time. And with the key to make sure it's tight........it does not loosen at all until you take it apart.

Answer:	With my set I received 13 pairs of 4" needle tips, 7 with the "S" connector (US sises 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8) and 6 with the "L" connector (US sizes 9, 10, 10.5, 11, 13, and 15). I also received 8 cords red Twist cabled, 4 with the "S" connection and 4 with the "L" connection. The 4 cables for each size connection I received were two 8 inch cables (to make 16 inch circulars), one 14 inch cable (to make 22 inch circulars), and one 22 inch cable (to make 30 inch circulars).

Answer:	No. The cords have a screw type end on each end to screw into the wooden needles. I can’t foresee needing more then 48” cord.

Answer:	I haven't had difficulty with the tips being too blunt, but neither have I used very fine yarn. I could see where that may be an issue.

Answer:	Yes, it's plastic, but very smooth and flexible (also swivels). To get the "curls" out, you can dunk it in hot water, and then stretch it straight and run it under cold water immediately after the hot water dunk. I do this with all my circular cords and it works really well.

Answer:	I cant say for sure as, I'm not familiar with different types of metal, but I'd say your common maybe nickel or aluminum, idk but its smooth and has a decent thickness to it, its not a flimsy set. its like hard metal tips. and the wood it smooth and solid feeling as well, I used to buy the metal ones from joann fabric but these are nice and less for an entire set so for that it was a nice deal.

Answer:	The 24" cable is the shortest cable available for the Interchangeable Needles. The tips are about 4.5" each, which takes up 9" of the cable. The tips would not be able to touch if we made a smaller cable. We did slightly shorten the needle tips and made a Fixed 16" in sizes 0-11 to compensate since we couldn't have a 16" cable for the Interchangeables.

Answer:	it contains 2 sets, one of "small" cable, 14", 22" and 30" cable, that fits the small needles (size 2 to 8 US) and another set of "large" cables, same lenght above, for the needles 9 to 15. You get 6 cables, but only one set can fit the small needles and one set the larger ones. I usually use more of my US 5 and US6, so I purchased an extra "small, 24" cable with my order for $5. Answer:	Yes they do!! So easy to do a lifeline,even every couple of rows if u need it. I'm working a Thierry scarf for my son right now. I hate to rip back so I'm doing it every repeat. I will never go without a lifeline again. The needles r fantastic. I just finished the Churchmouse welted fingerless gloves yesterday. Did magic loop. Made sure needles were tightened well and never had a problem with them loosening even when I was working on the thumb gusset. You will b very pleased with them,I have two friends with same needles,one knits looser than me and one knits tighter than me. Both love the sets. Have fun knitting.

Answer:	A lifeline is a length of thread or smaller yarn, put through a hole in the needle........you then knit the row. At the end of the row, pull the lifeline out of the hole in the needle. It has now become a base that will prevent dropped stitches should you need to rip back to correct an error. Usually used every 10 rows in difficult patterns.

Question:	How to use the extensions
Answer:	You screw your needle-point ends onto the flexible "cord" and there are several options for the cord length. There is a little pin in the kit that you put through a little hole at the base of the needle and it helps to tighten the needle onto the wire cord. Question:	I get this set from a friend but I cannot attached the bigger size of knitting needles, the have a different size scrue on the wire
Answer:	I sure wish I could help you. These work easily for me, no matter what size the needle. If you need to extend the wire to make it bigger you would use one of the enclosed adapters to attach two wires, but I haven't had a needle that didn't fit on the wire.

Question:	Are these interchangeable with the KnitPro needles/cables sets
Answer:	Yes. They use the same size connectors.
Question:	what are they made of
Answer:	Correct! They are very lightweight aluminum needles. They are definitely smooth, but do have more grip than other metal needles. When knitting, you'll find that your stitches move along more similarly to how they do on a wooden needle, but with the cool touch of metal. I have personally used them to knit a hat (100% wool, because fiber content matters here!) and I enjoyed the pointy-but-not-too-pointy tips and not having to worry about any stitches sliding off whenever I would toss my project around. Since Knitter's Pride interchangeable needles have a screw mechanism that attaches the needle to the cord, I would recommend a little tightening each time you pick up your project. I myself have a tendency to not be very gentle with my projects, so I've made this a mandatory step. Hope this helps! -Emily, for WEBS America's Yarn Store

Question:	how long are the needles? Same code has 3.5in or 4in
Answer:	This set isn't Special (Short). So, the length of tips is 4.5 in. Spec (short) set contains 3.5 in tips. Please note: always 0.5 of needle is on a cord. So, it's absolutely correct to say, that Deluxe set has 5" tips, Spec set - 4" tips.

Question:	There is conflicting information in the posting. What lengths are the cords please
Answer:	My understanding of cord length is this: a 40 " cord measures 40" from tip of needle point to tip of needle point. So it's the cord length plus the length of the needle. They still call it a 40" cord. Sounds crazy to me, but that is my understanding.
Question:	Trying to decide between 4" and 5" tips. I knit a lot of toys, dolls and small scale stuff. Pros and cons of each size
Answer:	I buy the 5" tips in interchangeable needles because the short ones are hard for me to hold onto, and my hands start cramping pretty quickly. Others report they've had the same problem, and still others say they don't have a problem with this. It seems to be individual differences. For me, I'd choose 5-inch interchangeables, and then buy the occasional 16-inch fixed needle for individual projects. If you want to do small diameter circular projects like socks or mitts, the best solution for someone whose hands cramp on the short tips is to use magic loop, two 24-inch needles, traveling loop, or 5 double point needles. I'd advise you to buy a 4-inch tip and a cable in a size you use, and do a lot of knitting with it. You'll find out if you like it pretty quickly. Then, when you buy the right tip length for you, you'll have an extra cable, and an extra short tip.
Question:	Is this the mini set or the small set? Description is confusing.Says small then keeps talking about minis
Answer:	It is the small set.
Question:	What is the difference between the "mini" system and the "small [s] or large [l] interchangeable systems
Answer:	The Chiagoo Interchangeable Knitting Needles are different sizes. The mini system contains needles sized 000 to 1.5 US. The small system contains needles sized 3 to 8 US. The large system contains needles sized 9 to 15 US. Each system contains three different length cables, cable end stoppers, cable connectors, t pin keys, stitch markers, gripper pad and a smart looking needle case for that sized set.
