They feel different from the metal needles I use for magic loop in that they are slower to knit on because of the texture of the wood and the thicker plastic cords. However, sometimes, for some yarns and stitches, this can be an advantage. if you're using very slippery or fuzzy yarn, knitting slower is preferable. At any rate, these are a pleasure to use and very attractive to knit with. Plus -- you absolutely cannot beat this price. I like having multiple needles around for various projects and these are definitely a good addition to the collection.
Question:	How long did your needles need to air out before getting rid of the smell
Answer:	I don't remember a smell because I returned mine immediately. The needle separated from the cord first use.

Question:	How fine of yarn can the needles reasonably handle? Specifically, has anyone had any issues with the tips being too blunt
Answer:	I haven't had difficulty with the tips being too blunt, but neither have I used very fine yarn. I could see where that may be an issue.
Question:	What material is the cord made from? Is it plastic
Answer:	Yes, it's plastic, but very smooth and flexible (also swivels). To get the "curls" out, you can dunk it in hot water, and then stretch it straight and run it under cold water immediately after the hot water dunk. I do this with all my circular cords and it works really well.

Answer:	You screw your needle-point ends onto the flexible "cord" and there are several options for the cord length. There is a little pin in the kit that you put through a little hole at the base of the needle and it helps to tighten the needle onto the wire cord. Answer:	I sure wish I could help you. These work easily for me, no matter what size the needle. If you need to extend the wire to make it bigger you would use one of the enclosed adapters to attach two wires, but I haven't had a needle that didn't fit on the wire.

On most airlines you can safely take your knitting project on the 4" neddle tip. Lace tips have a more pointed tip to make lace knitting easier but I always use a lace needle for all my knitting

Answer:	No, I just received my set and it comes with two (2) sets (one small size, one large size) of the following: two 8" cables, one 14" cable, and one 22" cable.

Answer:	I've found it to be a very smooth join every time. And with the key to make sure it's tight........it does not loosen at all until you take it apart.

Answer:	With my set I received 13 pairs of 4" needle tips, 7 with the "S" connector (US sises 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8) and 6 with the "L" connector (US sizes 9, 10, 10.5, 11, 13, and 15). I also received 8 cords red Twist cabled, 4 with the "S" connection and 4 with the "L" connection. The 4 cables for each size connection I received were two 8 inch cables (to make 16 inch circulars), one 14 inch cable (to make 22 inch circulars), and one 22 inch cable (to make 30 inch circulars).

Question:	What are the lenghs of the supplied cables? Are they flexible enough for magic loop
Answer:	The lengths supplied can make 24, 32, and 40 inch needles. They cables are very flexible, perfect for magic loop. I think they are more flexible than the hiya hiya circs
Question:	The Chiagoo twist minis, do they use the same cable as the regular twist
Answer:	The cable is the same type (fabulous, red coated cable) but finer because the minis are thinner. Each size group has a coordinating weight to the cable. I have seen 3 thicknesses of cable which coordinate with the needle sizes (large set = thicker, small set= medium, mini set= fine). The joins are nice like in the larger sets. I find I need to tighten the joins every several rounds but I think that is some quirk I am introducing, not any type of design flaw. I would recommend them. (I also have a few of the fixed sets in 9 and 12 inches, which are the shortest circulars I have found.) Blessings and have fun!
Question:	What size needles are in this set
Answer:	Hi - the needle sizes are US 000 (1.5mm), 00 (1.75mm), 0 (2.0mm), 1 (2.25mm) and 1.5 (2.5mm). It's very hard to find interchangeable needles in such small sizes, and I love this set! The cables have a small hole that you use to tighten the tips to the cables, and the hole is also meant to use for your "lifeline". This is where you run dental floss or another fine thread through a round at a critical stage in order to prevent the need to rip back farther in case of an error.
Question:	Are the cables smaller than the needles? My join stitches come out uneven due to cables being much smaller
Answer:	Yes, the cable is significantly thinner than the needles. The stitches don't slide as smoothly over the join because of the size difference. The join itself is very smooth for interchangeable needles. I just wish the needles themselves were slicker, the yarn drags on them a bit.
