Answer:	It attaches with roughly a quarter turn in the same way an SLR lens attaches to the camera body. It locks into place and there is a small button you push to release the lock and allow the quarter turn in the opposite direction (ccw in this case) to remove it. You have to remove the lens ring that is normally in place before you attach this or any other accessory that goes over the lens.

The company has two versions of their baldes, one for abrasive things like sheetrock and this one that I prefer which is for clean cutting things like leather and cardboard etc. : Tajima LCB-30RB Precision Craft Endura 3/8-Inch Razor Blades, 10-Pack. I use them in these: HAUTMEC Innovative Dual Use Mechanism Box Utility Cutter .... and I also very much like this: Gerber EAB Lite Pocket Knife 31-000345 with a different Tajima blade for it . I think for leather work these might be much better than scissors. I just used the HAUTMEC with the Tajima blade this afternoon on heavy belt-thickness vegetable tanned leather to make some stacked-and-glued-togehter leather polishing wheels for my bench grinder. I will use them with polishing compound to get that final edge when sharpening knives. It cut so easily, all the way through the thick leather with little effort. I m so excited as this is the first brand new scissor/scissors I have actually purchased in 20+ years!! For some reason I tend to hold on to scissors for years & years because I never ran with them. Only walked & talked. The poor scissors went full really fast. Can you blame them? They were so bored! On the end they became so dull and blunt they became back scratchers. I didn’t want to hurt them more by putting any effort into sharpening them to bring them back to full function tools. No, alas I didn’t even take 5 minutes amd order a sharpener for them. The duller the better! I had a purple pair, ( all 7 inches btw, maybe that was the norm years & years ago ) a black pair and of course a few black & Red kitchen scissors that cake with the knife sets sitting in heavy blocks of wood. Of course those scissors never stayed in the heavy knife block for long. Maybe they were in the silverware tray drawer for a few months but then they always ended up being used from everything from cutting paper to trimming hair. lol All because the cheap full 7 inch scissors turned back scratchers and cut open junk food packages, well help rip them open easier, just too full to use anymore. I still didn’t sharpen them or even give a thought to replace them. Till 30 minutes ago and I decided to order these!! $4.08 total, including tax. Answer:	I have not used the FD-1 so my comments are more about the LG-1 LED diffuser. I wanted to light subjects really close to the lens so it works well for me. However, if you are shooting further away or underwater then the FD-1 may be the better choice. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The blades are about 2.5" and about 6.5" overall (counting the finger hook-type rest). They are extremely sharp and of very good quality.

Answer:	Although I am not a professional, these are the best I have ever used! Only three cuts done so far.

Answer:	Yes! These are super sharp so they cut excellently. Be careful though because they are shears.

Answer:	No, 4 layers of flannel will be too thick to make a clean cut of flannel.

Question:	Are they re-adjustable at the joint? Is there a screw you can re-tighten
Answer:	Yes, there is a screw on the scissors, and I imagine that it's purpose is to readjust the scissors, either to tighten or loosen the cut. I have purchased several pairs of Westcott Scissors over the years, for home as well as business use, and have never had a problem. Bottom line: I love Westcott Scissors and in my opinion you can't go wrong w/giving them a chance!

Question:	Can these scissors to be used by a right and left handed person
Answer:	I'm sorry I can't remember and no longer have the packaging. They feel pretty well made but the cheap price makes me believe it probably is made in China.
Question:	is there sheath available for this item
Answer:	Yes there is a white plastic dowel. I used the silver one from the set it replaced and "antiqued" it with a black marker to match better. Also there is only one hole in the back so I had to get creative with clear stick pins to stabilize it.
