Answer:	If you have hard water in your area (ours is some of the worst in the country) by all means use filtered water or the parts will be caked with particulates after a few hours of use (my "so smart" son-in-law used tap water; it stopped working after about 8 months and the ice tasted like chalk.

Answer:	We have not seen any mold... We use it everyday so that may be why, but we turn it off when my son sleeps... I would think you could add some vinegar to the water and let it run a couple of cycles and then drain it (there is a drain plug), add more water and run a cycle or 2 to clear the vinegar... the cycles do not take long so this would take less than an hour to do. Although the smell of vinegar may linger a little.

Answer:	I also had ice that started to taste bad after a few months. I cleaned it and it was fine. First I rinsed with water and drained it through the plug. I noticed some particulate in the water as it drained so I keep flushing it until it was clear. Then I put in a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar (a cup or so) and ran it for a few batches, then rinsed and drained and ran it again with fresh water. Zero bad taste.

Answer:	That really depends on the size of your big ice chest. In practice, I've found that this basket holds just under a pound of ice before the sensor gets blocked and shuts it down. It will hold about 1.5 pounds if you shake the basket and level out the ice. Dump the ice into something else every hour, or so, and you will have plenty of ice to fill most work coolers.

2. After receiving the product, please settle down the ice maker for 2-6 hours (Usually, 4 hours is enough) before switching on the power and using. Leave the ice maker at least 4 in/10cm away from any obstructions

3. The effect of ice making varies with water temperature and ambient temperature. It is suggested to put the machine in a cool and ventilated place, which will greatly improve the ice producing capacity.

4. If not use it for a long time, please remove the drain plug at the bottom to drain out the water and keep it dry.

• Please note：Ice cubes cannot be kept in the machine for a long time. If you'd like to keep ice cubes for a long time, you'd better keep them in the freezer.
• Please pay attention to the temperature of the water you add, if you add water that is too hot, the first few rounds of the machine will be slightly less effective in making ice. After one or two rounds of ice-making, the water temperature will drop and everything will be back to normal.
• Keep maker upright for at least 24 hours before first using it.
• When the ambient temperature is too high, you can close the lid to maintain the temperature of the ice cubes.
