If there is no water in it it shuts itself off. When off it will not keep anything cool. The only time it’s cool or cold is when it’s making ice.

Question:	How fast will it make ice
Answer:	The ice cube size is determined by the following factors - temperature of the water in the unit, ambient room temperature + setting S/M/L on the unit. The ice size setting is really a time setting for how long the unit ice making cycle is....the longer the cycle the larger the ice cube. You can experiment with water temp and room temp as well as ice cube size setting to make cubes that meet your needs.
Question:	Does it filter the water? If it does, are the filters expensive
Answer:	It is located under the bottom of the igloo. I love ours. I bought it because my husband is sick and needs ice 24/7. The ice makes in less than 5 minutes. Really good, soft ice. Best little ice maker out there in my opinion.
Question:	Does this automatically shut off when ice is full
Answer:	When I make ice, which is usually every other day, I put a quart of water in the reservoir twice. Which is probably six ice maker baskets if ice which I transfer to ziplock bags and place in the freezer. Works perfectly for the two of us.
Question:	It says it makes 3 sizes of ice. How small is the small? Does it compare to Sonic ice
Answer:	You have water (or I use water and vinegar mixture) in it. Then, you push the clean button. It runs (for 10 minutes or so, I think), but does not make ice during this time. Then, you take it to your sink and pull the drain plug to release the cleaning water. I do the entire process one more time (with just water) to rinse the vinegar mixture out. This provides the machine with a basic clean. Keep in mind, however, that deeper cleanings may be necessary every once in awhile, because the 'clean' cycle only runs water where it would have run if it had been making ice. So, it doesn't splash around in there while cleaning like a dishwasher. I hope this answers your question.

Answer:	The ice maker runs independent of the fridge. The ice maker can be faulty but the fridge itself still work just fine.

Answer:	I dont know but i goggled my model number and it showed this one. As long as you have water lines and place to install the ice making machine i really dont see a problem. The unit appears to be able to be installed in any freezer device as long as you can get water to it,connect it to freezer,and have enough room. Good luck. I had to relocate electrical power box at rear corner above highest point of back wall of the microwave. This was necessary because the supplied power cord plug when plugged in didn’t allow microwave to fully slide into cabinet. A 45 degree cord end could solve this problem but I didn’t want to cut factory cord possibly violating local electrical code or voiding warranty. Hope this helps!

Answer:	water does NOT go in it drains out from the ac condenser., when running. It can be caught in the drain tank (which needs manually being empty when full) or threw drain hoses to a exterior drain . Those caps are for the hose drain to sewer disposal.

Answer:	The air hose yes, the drainage tube no. You only drain it when the light comes on to say the water tank is full.
