Question:	Can this be either a freezer or refrigerator
Answer:	I have the freezer. Amazon's questions on this particular item don't work correctly as I keep getting questions on the combo unit and not specifically the freezer. The freezer has its own item number, and the refridge/freezer combo has it's own part number. I love the FREEZER, but it was damaged in shipment 3 times! Finally kept the last one even though it was dented on the bottom as I was tired of dealing with shipment damage and the damage didn't show as much as the previous ones.

Answer:	This refrigerator is not frost free. But you will very rarely have to defrost it. It is very slow to build up frost. As small as it is it will be very easy to defrost every few months. I have had mine for a couple of months now and it is no where close to needing defrosting for the first time and is used every day.

Answer:	The name plate says: 115 Volts AC, 60 Hz, 80 Watts, rated current 1.0 Amps. The reason rated current is 1 Amp (which equals about 115 watts) is because it takes more current to start the compressor. I'm not sure why you want to know Watts (cost to operate?) but if you are going to run it off an Inverter (12 Volts DC to 115 Volts AC for example) you will need an Inverter than can handle the starting load. It's about the same as using an 80 watt incandescent light bulb when running. A pulse of power like a 100 Watt bulb when starting. Hope this answers your question. Yes I am an engineer ;-)

Answer:	It has fixed shelves. The shelves can't be removed because the evaporator coils are placed on the underside of every wire shelves (sandwiched).

Answer:	The instructions say it needs a minimum of 4 inches clearance in back and on the left and right sides. This is why: a normal kitchen refrigerator has a fan that blows the warm air away, often out the front at floor level. But the heat produced by this freezer is dissipated by the three sides of the body with no air blower. So 4 inches of free air is needed to carry the heat away. It is OK to put things on top; the freezer does not eliminate waste heat through the top surface.

Wattage is determined by multiplying Voltage by Amps. 120 volts X 1.1 Amps = 132 Watts 115 Volts X 1.1 Amps = 126.5 Watts. The unit would need to rated at 0.652 Amps to get 75 watts ( 120 Volts X .625 Amps = 75 Watts )

Question:	Just plugged in my 2.1 freezer. It's getting fairly hot to the touch, is this normal
Answer:	UnPlug it. make sure you have plenty of ventilation between your freezer and wall or curtains(about 4 inches) it may not be getting enough air for the compressor and condenser it will produce some warmth towards the back. if you transported it laying down (or the delivery folks) you needed to wait 24 hours with it upright and level before plugging it in. Let it sit. hopefully you didn't do any damage. Wait 24hrs and try again. if the freezer is working properly it should start cooling and you may hear a gurgling sound. if it continues to get hot send it back.
