Some of these types of coolers can heat or cool and even have thermostats so they dont get too cold or hot INSIDE-they can freeze inside if ambient temp is below 70-75. I plug mine in the night b4 I leave and load it in the morning. Its like a refrigerator-it will take a couple hours to get cold, but longer for cokes or what ever to chill inside if they warm-hours. Do not put frozen anything inside or ice that can leak-inside a tupperware is fine as long as it doesnt leak.-the evaporation of ice (water/humidity) will rust the fan motor spindle creating loud noise and you will then throw it away to buy a new one. Its in the directions-READ FIRST! |

| Answer: | Dear Tim and Karen, I found some of these comments and hope they help: 115V / 60Hz: The refrigerator will not run on dc current. You would need an inverter. 2nd reply: Startup wattage is about 840 while running wattage is probably around 200. So you would need an inverter with 1000 watts peak rating to be safe. Wattage is 840 startup, running wattage probably around 200, maybe 250. I don't see an EER on it, but the estimated annual power use(you see that on all appliances) is 342 KWH. 3rd reply: The label on the compressor says 7 amps starting current. It doesn't say anything about running current, but with motors of this type it could be between 1.25 and 2.3 amps. I would guess it should be less than 2. |

And it is Not deep enough, the dip needs more room than that then there the topping. 3/4 of inch would have worked this does not. I'll be returning it, too bad I was glad to come across this for the dip. Good idea just wish tray was little deeper. |
