Also another instance, you may have trapped your rodent and another animal picked it up to eat it and dragged it off. |

So and behold , the other traps, started snapping shut , as it got warmer. These things are absolutely useless, the worst traps I ever purchased. I have purchased hundreds of traps in the last 40 years and these are JUNK! I sent a review to the seller and they never replied, my guess is they would go out of business, if they had to issue refunds. |

Yes, the fan is loud but not noisy. It is an appropriate fan sound, no rattles or chattering. Just a smooth hum from the fan blades moving air. You can reduce the sound level slightly be removing the protective grill. |

| Answer: | First you will see that the trap setting lever is in the up position (unset) and then you will see the rat tail and more of the rat if it's a big one. Easy to dump out the dead rat in a garbage bag and rebait and reset trap. Great trap, own two and have caught 8 rats outside in two weeks...thanks to neighborhood rental remodel and resulting rat infestation. Really good, effective, and humane design! Highly recommend. Use peanut butter, apple pieces, and cheese for bait. |

| Answer: | Peanut butter works great for me but it doesnt take much. Dont overfill the bait cup so they cant get it without setting off the trap. Also try a small piece of cheese softened and pressed into the cup. |
