Answer:	They are not very thick. I would like to add, I have used these before and they work wonderful, in that they keep the stove clean. You can cut thru them easily to fit the stove burners. When they get dirty, I wash them in the sink of hot water and soap detergent and dry them and put back in place on stove. For me it is a GREAT product!

Answer:	No, it is connected using wire nuts. But I believe you can purchase a “plug” for it.
Question:	CFM vs 7" @ 190CFM - I assume the 10 inch would be quieter and 30 CFM would not be a big deal? What do you think
Answer:	Not real sure. What I do know is the one we purchased is loud on High and it works on suction. On low it is plenty quiet and works just fine. Low on this unit sucks better than high on my other one. If noise is your concern then you will have to buy an expensive model like a dual fan etc. this one is not quiet on high. Low is quiet

Question:	Is this item shipped with the Grease filter as stated in manufacturer spec sheet
Answer:	Yes it is. It’s a nice range hood for the price.
Question:	What power cord do I need to buy for this range hood
Answer:	It is hard wired in. You need to run Romex out through a hole in your drywall 3/4" to the right of the ducting. It's explained in detail in the installation instruction.
Question:	I just purchased this hood. Are there any other parts that are required to install it fully
Answer:	Electric wiring with connectors, electric tape. If venting out, vent pipes of the correct size, duct tape, self-tapping metal screws to attach to the hood. Size is in the dimensions that come with the hood. Ducting depends on where it is going, but there are examples of what is correct. Light bulb is usually not included, be sure not to get a hot type or above the rating for your hood. 4 x mounting screws for mounting the hood under the cabinet, larger flat head type with a good thread that won't pierce through the bottom of the cabinet mounting surface, but have a head large enough to hold the hood in place. It has larger round holes with smaller slots so you can get the hood on and off without unscrewing them all the way. If you have to cut for the vent, you will need a hole saw or jigsaw, drill a hole to get the blade started and try not to cut larger than required for venting. Secure the pipes with a simple strap. Remember that the grease screen only catches a portion of the grease, so you will need to be able to access the pipes in the future for cleaning. Do not share the output with any other flammable chimney space like a wood or gas burning chimney. The ducts should be self-contained and accessible. If you are just circulating the air from this hood like a fan, you should be prepared to clean the grease trap screen and hood often with TSP or some other grease cutting cleaner on a regular basis. The shorter the distance to the outside, the easier it will be to keep clean. Follow the wiring guide and make sure things are properly grounded and connected safely. If you don't feel comfortable with it, don't do it.
Question:	how do you connect exhaust vent to the top of hood? is it round hole or square? I have round vent ttube, if its not round do you sell an adapter
Answer:	The vent can be on the top or in the back, you just knock out whichever cover you want to use, but it only comes with a rectangular damper. Answer:	Hi John, I am not sure at what heat it will turn on however it does have a thermostat which will turn on the fan or increase the fan speed from low to high when excessive heat is detected. I think it may be best to contact the manufacturer to ask what temperature threshold it is configured to turn on. I was able to find more information on the HEAT SENTRY system at Broan's Website in the instructions manual on page 3. Answer:	I’ve had this happen too. I think it has to do with the warmth of your finger when you press it. I have had success warming up my hand and trying again. I’d suggest also rereading the manual because the panel has unusual features.

Answer:	Our Range Hoods are not tested and rated in decibels, only in Sones. The sound of a BCDF130SS at 1.2 Sones would sound similar to that of a running refrigerator.
