I discovered it could be several factors: different insertion in the ear, earwax and the last time it happened to me my daughter had an ear infection in the ear with the higher reading. However when I subsequently purchased the Sengled Smart Plug, during installation it indicated I needed the Sengled Home app to continue. The Sengled Home app recognized that the Element app was installed and automatically imported all my LED bulbs. As such, at the end of the Smart Plug install, the Element app was no longer needed and the Sengled Home app now controls both Sengled LED smart bulbs and Sengled Smart Plugs.
