I've been using it my RV; I have found that it must be parked flat rather than on a slant in order for the freezer to hold its temp. When the RV is level, it holds very well. I've also found that when operating on standard household electricity, it stays in the zero-degree range; on generator, it stays about 10 degrees warmer, and on 12-volt RV house-battery, it holds whatever temperature it was when plugged in (last night it started at 30, and held 31 all night; more propane for the genset this morning will bring it back down to about 10 degrees). |

I purchased a 12v extension cord that fits the configuration of my RV floorplan -- using it, the freezer can be across the coach in a conveniently located position. The only caveat to the extension cord arrangement is that the connection between the freezer cord and extension cord is a bit loose; the display lights on the freezer are conveniently located to show me when that connection comes loose, however.I am very glad that I purchased the insulated zippered wrap that fits the freezer (same company); using it helps the freezer stay cool through any hot weather I'm encountering. |
