Answer:	Any decent wax ring will do. The real issue is the position of your floor flange. If the flange is mounted, as it should be, on top of the finished floor, than a normal thickness wax ring will be fine. If the top of your floor flange is flush with the finished floor or lower, then two wax rings (not two with the plastic insert, bottom one with no insert, top one with insert or without) or one extra thick #10 wax ring. You can also use the Sani-Seal waxless seal if you wish, but wax works wonderfully and is much less expensive.

Answer:	The product is NSF 42 certified which means it handles asthetic properties of water (taste, color, etc). However, unlike GE filters this is not NSF 53 certified which means it is NOT certified to filter out harmful microbes, pesticides, herbicides, and other natural things one would find with wells or accidental contamination along the delivery path to your fridge. So yeah, it's cheaper but it's not certified for carbon filtration and the removal of these things. I guess you get what you pay for. I am now replacing my BEST for a genuine GE filter again :(

Answer:	See my other comment. 42 is aesthetics (color, taste, etc...). 53 is carbon filtering that protects against harmful microbes, chemicals, pesticides, etc... This product is only 42 as I noted on the one I just received from Amazon in August 2016. To get the same certified effect of a GE MWF you'd need this BEST product plus another carbon filter like one of those ones you fill and put in the refrigerator.

Answer:	This filter will last 6 months or until it tells you to change it. The three hundred gallons depends on how much water you us, you can measure the water usage and estimate the ice maker water usage to calculate the appropriate gallons of water that passes through the filter.

Answer:	My GE refrigerator is GFE28HGHWW. It was installed by the local dealer with RPWFE water filter. The Quick Use & Care Manual shows how to install it, but gives no information about the filter model and when to change it. What I have deduced is that at initial turn-on a 6-month clock is started, but not visible. At 6-months the display shows a message to change the filter. If you do not do that, the display will start to count up days overdue. It does this for 99 days and then stops counting, although water is still available OK via the over-used filter. The new filter must be RPWFE because it has a RFID electronic chip taped to its back side. The chip is about 1/4" diameter and it talks to the refrigerator electronics, resets the display and starts a new 6-month clock. The display cannot be reset manually. The new filter must be installed with the front side facing outwards, so that the chip on the backside interfaces properly with the electronics. A RPWF filter (without the E) looks exactly the same, installs exactly the same, but does not work - the water feed system shuts down. The answer to your question is if your refrigerator came with a RPWFE filter, then its replacement must also be RPWFE. You should check what is installed now by opening the filter door and looking at the filter label. Replace it with exactly the same filter.

Answer:	Hello. From researching the part number, this bypass installs the same as the water filter. Open the door and swing the filter to the right until it stops. The filter will not release until it is in this position and simply pull the old cartridge out without twisting it. Align the top of thebypass in the holder. Firmly push the bypass in until it engages to insure it is properly seated. Again being careful not to twist. Swing the bypass back into place and close the filter door. If your bypass does not swing into place for the door to close, make sure that it has been aligned and engaged properly.
