Starting at the top shelf, I use the dryer to loosen up the frost and ice. Then I work my way down the freezer. Be certain to keep the hair dryer away from any water. Once you get it started, it goes pretty quickly. The whole process takes about 15 minutes and it's really fun to see the frost start to melt then fall off. Just pcikup the chunks from the floor and toss them in some type of container. Easy peasy! |

The original module in my freezer only lasted 2 years here in Arizona, due to the constant power fluctuations and outages provided by Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Co-Op. I lost a freezer full of food while TDY, and came home to a huge smelly mess! I hope this module is a bit more robust, but I doubt it, based on reviews I've read about this part on the net. If you have an appliance containing this part, you're stuck,,as I'm not sure there is an alternate PN for this piece. May want to get two, or replace the appliance.. good luck! |
