The DryerDock is a dryer hose quick connect device to simplify connecting a dryer hose to the vent pipe. It consists of two parts, the dryer hose adapter and the vent pipe adapter.



The dryer hose adapter

The dryer hose slips over the dryer hose adapter in the same manner it normally slips over the vent pipe. The dryer hose may be fastened to the dryer hose adapter with a clamp, tie-wrap, or an adhesive.



The vent pipe adapter

In most dryer vent installations, the vent pipe protrudes from the floor, wall, or ceiling, about two or more inches. The DRYER DOCK vent pipe adapter mounts flush with the floor, wall, or ceiling. This requires the vent pipe to be cut off flush with the surface. The vent pipe adapter slips inside the vent pipe, and the flange is mounted to the surface with appropriate fasteners.



The quick-connect

After both the dryer hose adapter and the vent pipe adapter are installed, the two parts fasten together with a slight twist. Three "fingers" on the vent pipe adapter hold the dryer hose adapter securely in place.

Answer:	Make sure you have water in it & then Clean like you would any lint trap . I empty mine after every 2nd dryer load.

Answer:	Yes, I put a nylon sock over it. I change the lint filter in the dryer after every load and nothing ever comes out of the Dundas Jafe dryer vent kit. I have used this for about a year now.

Answer:	I've used this type dryer vent for 20 years. Instead of water in the basket I have strips of terry cloth I wet as I fill the washer & wrap around the holes in the lid & change them each week. The terry acts like a lint filter. I shake the lint off in the trash & toss the terry strips in the laundry & replace it when I toss the clean load in the dryer.
Question:	I understant the way it collects the lint, but what happens to the humidity? Will I end up with wet walls
Answer:	I can't speak for the problems others are claiming to have but this only uses about a half a cup of water and then there's the moisture in the air coming from the dryer but ... I live in the South and it's humid down here. I haven't noticed any increase in the humidity from using my little dryer with this vent kit. None. I have a hygrometer and thermometer in every room and other than the room where the washer and dryer are none of the rest of the house gets any significant increase in humidity. I only do laundry once a week, about three loads total, so others might have different results if they use their washer and dryer more. As for the water you put in the vent to catch lint, well you lose that much water to water vapor cooking dinner so that's not really a thing to worry about.

Answer:	No, it can't be reversed as others here have said, at least not without a lot of cutting and taping which sort of defeats the purpose. I had to return it and buy the 18-27 inch version instead.

Answer:	No cutting. It is already in two pieces. It slides up and down and slide it apart for what ever length you need. My husband is a contractor and said it does not need taped if you don't want to tape it. Fits tight. Hope this answered your question.

Answer:	It is possible but there are two cautions. First, you would have to be careful not to get paint on the louvres where they pivot or it might bind them closed. Second, if the paint gets to heavy, it will also limit the opening if your airflow is not very strong.

Question:	How to connect this (or any) ducting to a grow tent 6" vent hole? Is thete done kind of ring for it
Answer:	The round holes on the tent are not technically vent holes. Vent holes are square and used to create negative air pressure with an appropriate sized exhaust fan. The round holes are for ducting to simply pass through with draw strings to tighten around the ducting. Ducting can be used for exhaust with the fan inside the tent or for active air intake with the fan outside the tent. In other words using two fans. Intake ducting would be at the bottom of tent.
Question:	Is there a good adapter that I can use to put over my rectangular vent to fit the circle vent because tape isn’t holding up around the carpet
Answer:	Check 6” duct connector or plenum. There are so many designs and measurements. You’ll need to evaluate for your specific needs.

Answer:	it works very well for my portable a/c, however, any hose that I have purchased becomes hot due to the way these units push out hot air. its inevitable. i have tried every type imaginable. i insulate the outside of the hose with an insulation. you coukd use Reflectix DW1202504 Spiral Duct Wrap found on Amazon!. it works great and is not expensive. Makes a world of difference in room temp. You will need to wrap any hose with something like this.
Question:	I am interested in using this for heating ducts. Will it work for that? How would you suggest insulating this ducting for that purpose
Answer:	I am using it as an AC duct but I think it will work as a heating duct. Of course, it will get hot. The insulation I'm using is called Reflectrix Spiral Duct Wrap and it has worked very well for my application. From the product description: "Typical applications for TerraBloom aluminum ventilation ducting include: dryer room vents, A/C or Heater ducting, grow room ventilation and other indoor gardening applications". So it says heater ducting right there. I'm assuming you are talking about heating a fairly small space.

Answer:	I believe it is only about 3/4 of an inch into the wall vent pipe.

Answer:	slips over it and you use an "O" clamp

Answer:	I don’t see why not, it is just a vent attachment. It does make it easier to get the vent pipe off to clean the vent hose and vent itself.

Step By Step Installation

1. Draw a 4 inch Circle using Vent Pipe Adapter (Piece with Screw Holes) as a guide
2. Cut a notch and then complete circle cut
3. Push Vent Pipe Adapter into cut hole
4. Secure Vent Pipe Adapter with screws(not included) into cut hole
