Answer: I do not recommend stacking without the full kit. The feet on the dryer act as shock absorbers as do parts of the brackets. There is vibration from the spin and rinse cycles and from the dryer rotation. The feet and pads only add 3/4 of an inch. You do not want metal on metal contact. There will be movement between the dryer and washer without proper use of the kit.
