There is another company, Dexas, that makes a similar but much sturdier bowl. One costs almost as much as the three but it is much thicker and it folds well and opens easily. We got one at Petsmart and another at Choice Pet Market. Not sure where Dexas is made but as I recall I think they are BPA free. The Alfie pet bowls are pretty but I was a little disappointed...but they are still good. I just like the other brand better. P.S. Just checked and Dexas is made in Dallas Texas!
