Answer:	Sure it can be used as a hood duct, on the premise that you have access to cleaning weekly it and that your range hood cfm requirements are so low that it only needs a 4 inch duct. Or get an hvac person to ask questions or do that job for you, since your question was asked, I assume you are not proficient with HVAC cfm requirements for a range hood or the constant cleaning/dangers that are involved in using a duct system with ribs. Answer:	I'm not a "pro." But, the size of the vent must match up with the size of the Whirlpool device. If it does, I'd guess it will work.

Answer:	Yes. There are small indentations that act like "stops" when you extend the vent to its full length. Just push the sides in slightly where the stops are and pull the vent apart, turn one end around, and reinsert the piece.

Question:	Does this vent needs an extra piece to connect to dryer on a 90 degree angle? From picture I can't see how it connects ti dryer
