Answer:	One thing to keep in mind is dishwashers need a certain amount of hot water to start out with because if the dishwasher has to heat it's own water, it can cause the wash cycle to take longer until the water reaches temperature. If you have a gas water heater, it would be cheaper to let the water heater heat the water because it would cost a lot more electric for the 1500 watt heating element to heat up the cold water. Especially if your in a cold climate when the water gets extra cold. And remember, depending on the cycle, it fills up several times which means each time it's going to have to heat that water all over again causing more and more power from the heating element. If you have a gas water heater, it would be cheaper to let the water heater supply the hot water. The heating element may need to heat it u the rest of the way. But it will take less time to get there depending on how hot you have your water heater set to.

I had to remove the original part and replace it with this piece so I could hook up my GE portable dishwasher to my kitchen faucet. Answer:	Just to expand slightly on prior answers, normally a residential service feed is 240 volts between the two incoming hot legs. There is also a neutral leg, which (hopefully) has zero potential with reference to ground. The voltage between either one of the hot legs and the neutral leg is 120 volts. The 120 volt circuits in your house are connected to one or the other of the two hot legs, and only one. An attempt is made to assign circuits to the two hot legs in a way that will roughly balance the load between them. The other side of a 120 volt circuit is connected to the neutral leg. There is additionally a safety ground run with the circuit, which also ties into the panel. Certain devices require more power (work product of current and voltage) than is practical to deliver using a 120 volt circuit. Common examples are your clothes dryer, and your electric stove. These devices are powered by both hot legs, with a difference in potential of 240 volts. This water heater is also such a device.STRONG BUT FRIENDLY WARNING: If you did not already know this, please don't make wiring this water heater your learning opportunity with electricity. Answer:	Well I think it is an extra part, the whole assembly seems to have extra universal parts. I had to use the old collar because the one that came didn't fit. There were enough usable parts that it works fine. Just put it back together with the same parts that come out. The rubber washer is probably for a faucet adapter you don't have, same as myself and is not needed then.
Question:	Can you adjust the temperature so that the water and dryer do not exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
Answer:	I wouldn't buy this until you consult with a dishwasher repairman. Some of the parts were broken when it arrived, and the repair guy had to cobble together what I already had with a few of the new parts. It was pretty much worthless. He encouraged me to buy only FA parts.

When washing dishes, this deep-clean dishwasher performs 3-4 cycles of alternating hot and cold-water washing. The whole process avoids using dishwashing tools such as cloths, bowl brushes, etc., which may cause secondary pollution. A water temperature of up to 167 °F can provide a thorough cleaning. The cleanliness of hand dishwashing is only 60% that of automatic dishwashing, as your hands and washing cloth are often dirty due to remaining makeup, dirt, grime, and more. Plus, even if a large amount of detergent is spent to achieve the same cleaning effect when you wash dishes by hand, much more water will be consumed to rinse the detergent residue.

Dry Mode for Storage

After washing mode, the Dry/Storage mode provides an extra 60 minutes of hot air drying for the dishes, allowing them to be completely dried while providing ventilated storage for the next 3 days (The LED screen will display a “b” to indicate that the machine is currently in ventilated storage). The Dry mode can be used with any washing mode other than Fruit mode, and can also be turned on separately.

NOTE:

Please vent the dishwasher interior before first use or re-use. After initial filling of the water tank, shake the machine 5-6 times to exhaust all trapped air. This will ensure a smooth water flow. Answer:	Very. The only noise you will really hear is the water being discharged during wash and rinse cycles. Other than that, very quiet!

Answer:	You can buy a 5ft 3 wire extension cord from wal mart or similar. Cut off female end of plug, strip back cord covering exposing the 3 wires. Strip wire ends and connect white to white, black to black and green to green inside the small electrical junction box on the front bottom right side of the appliance. Then plug it in. Appliance is made to be hard wired but installing a cord is not a difficult job. All tools and supplies can be purchased at wal mart or home store. I just unwired the cord from my old dishwasher and put it on this one. This machine is great and cleans like none other also very quiet.
